If I remember correctly the only tests I had were obviously blood sugar levels which were 36!
I spent one night in hospital and had daily visits from nurses to check on me.
Within hours of taking insulin my vision returned to normal.
I was told I was close to coma glad I swerved that one...
In 2008 when firstly diagnosed I had rapid onset.
There was no family history of diabetes.
My doctors said I was a type 1 so started out on insulin.
After roughly 3 years they decided I was a type 2, so off insulin I came.
I've been on metformin since day 1 amongst other medications.
I am on medication.
