I do eat a normal diet, with insulin though. I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago and lived on a carbohydrate-poor diet for 2 weeks until it got carved in stone that I had type 1. Good carbohydrate control.. I'm very fresh in using Humalog but from Monday and till now I'm not doing so bad, haven't passed...

I found out that I am type 1 after a consultation with my diabetes-doctor, I now use 8units Lantus in the evening and Humalog calculated doses when I eat, sometimes I don't even need an injection either. Thank you-

Monday. I'm now in a hospital because of a sugar overdose.

I just ate 100g of dark chocolate with 52 carbs /100g. My bs was 12.7 before I started and now I'm done.. I feel like I'm actually starving atm.. Does anybody have a "go-to" food wich makes you feel full but with no carbs in it? I'd be happy to know...

My antidepressant does not have any side-effect related to my blood sugar, I just read about it. I hoped it would, though... I'm carefully monitoring everything I am eating, earlier today I ate 3 crispbread with clean cooked ham and the bs went to over 12, I ALMOST can't believe it.
