    I've been taking the yogurt drink and spread since Christmas - in the first 3 months my bad cholesterol went up ! Am sticking with it though as the Doc thinks another drug may have been to blame.

    Latest results

    6.1 is pretty good isn't it ? Mine the other day was 6.4, down from 6.9. Doctor described this as "non diabetic" but I should really be aiming for the 5's shouldn't I ?

    Is it my fault I have Type 2 diabetes?

    AA Gill the Sunday Times food critic wrote recently "Personally, I think your type 2 diabetes is your choice. Enjoy" Delightful coming from a recovering alcoholic and I believe avid cigarette smoker. As to fault - well I guess some are lucky and some aren't.

    Sugarless (sugar free) Wine Question

    Red wine was my drink of choice until I was diagnosed in December 2009. My DN told me that beer was better than wine so I now drink more lager and have almost cut out wine totally. Is my DN wrong to suggest beer over wine ?
