I am so sorry you are going through this. I've been Type 1 for 35 years. In January I lost my mum quite suddenly, the shock and stress of it all sent my bloodsugars haywire. I felt that they were totally out of control and I didn't have the strength to deal with looking after myself as well...
This happens to me too...beef spikes me 1.5 - 2hours after my meal (I seem to be ok with other proteins). I have to do a square bolus on my pump to cover the protein spike.
I start the day off with a mug of coffee blended with a tablespoon of coconut oil and tablespoon of unsalted butter...no need for cream....delicious, creamy gorgeousness!
