Hi.
I think i keep sleeping through my hypos.
I recently went on a very active holiday, i went to bed with 8 units of active insulin and a bg of 10.1 (the 8 units were for tea at 5) didn't inject straight away as we were going swimming again and i had a hypo at tea time. bed at half ten...
Its because if novo rapid continues working on your BG for up to 4/5 hrs then surely if you were an 8 at 90 mins then the novo rapid would continue to work for up to a further 2 and a half hrs potentially.
What should your bg be after 2 hours as if it was 8 for instance then surely you would hypo. However if you've had a fatty meal then it takes longer to process so your bg could still go up. It's so confusing. I have been told so many different things that I'm just feeling a tad over whelmed and...
Hi.
I'm so confused. When should I be testing my sugars after I've eaten to get the most accurate result. The way I've understood it is novorapid takes 4hours to finish working. So in my head I assumed keep meal times 4 hrly get an accurate result. Recently been on holiday and my sugars...
I too have been struggling my sugars, I'm only 6 months diagnosed tomorrow. I find if I eat 5 hour Lynn then my sugars are generally within range. Usually slightly higher in the morning so I tend to add an extra unit or 2 with my breakfast. The heat has sent my sugars crazy. It's only recently...
Hi.
I'm only recently diagnosed as type 1 in the last 3 months. I feel all your frustrations. I spent 2 months very much with the attitude of I've totally got this to having spent the last month going oh poop I really don't got this. Stressing because I've had a high reading. Then stressing...
I was told to never use my thumbs or the finger next to it. However I'm very guilty of using my little fingers the most. I use soap and glory hand cream. It's remembering when to use at a correct time. The times I've moisturised my hands then gone darn it i need to test my sugars. Vaseline on my...
I'm scared of having the high numbers as I ended up with dka in January. In hospital ketones of +7 5 drips. Numerous blood tests. Being away from my daughter as I'm a single parent. So I need to prevent those high numbers and seeing the 22 scared the bananas out of me. Also heard about the mean...
I've got no idea if it's slow release. I don't think it is as over 3 weeks I was supposed to up it each week. I took at night with tea as I had read about the awful side affects. Each tablet is 500. I've been trying to stick to a fairly samey samey diet so I can try and get my sugars stable...
Hi.
