My choice would be a definite ..... go for the lower A1c and do more BG readings, after all what else are fingers for ? : )

Hi May Racheal, My solution is 10 units of insulin per 1.0 reduction required then re test after an hour to make sure the level is good, and not going to low Hope this helps

Be careful about treatment of blurred vision until thing have settled down. I to had blurred vision, and got a different glasses , only to find after three weeks it settled down and I was back to the old ones !

Hi Alan, I hope you mean 3 units, not 3 shots, oh too painful fisrt thing in hte morning :) Sometimes you can have a honeymoon period after diagnosis where at the end, BG will jump and insulin will need to be adjusted accordingly, other times you just get high readings for no apparent reason...
