    Afternoon tea

Yes I've often eaten nothing at a buffet and no-one seems to notice that

    Afternoon tea

It's the baby sister's 40th birthday. So many plans were made, including one sister cooking to suit everyone's dietary requirements but, as is always the way with family events, there have had to be so many compromises that it's come down to afternoon tea or nothing!

    Afternoon tea

It's a pretty mainstream sandwich and cake menu but I've emailed and asked what they can do so fingers crossed!

    Afternoon tea

OK I'll give this a go. It's worth an ask and could save embarrassment on the day

    Afternoon tea

Thanks, I love this. 2 of my sisters are vegetarian so that's definitely the line to take!!

    Afternoon tea

I am being forced, for family reasons, to go for afternoon tea on Saturday. This is something I've never done and I'm truly scared. It's at 2pm and it's a 2-hour drive from where I live so I'll eat lunch and hopefully manage with just a drink but I'm worried my siblings will try to make me eat...

Type 2 Have you reversed your T2?

My DSN told me at the very beginning that it's impossible to reverse type 2. However my blood readings are always within the normal range and there are no signs of diabetes at all - foot checks, eye checks etc always normal. The best thing

I don't find the Eatwell guide healthy at all for me, but I accept it's a far sight healthier than the normal diet of a lot of carb-junkies I know

    The best thing

I've often had free sides in restaurants instead of chips. I now act like I expect it and generally get my way!

    The best thing

Yes, definitely the best thing is feeling so well but being freed from the cake tyranny is a huge bonus for me!

    The best thing

Are we all agreed that the best thing about Diabetes is not having to eat all the home-made cake that insufferable work colleagues are constantly thrusting on their poor workmates. I simply love being able to say that they look lovely, I'm so tempted and then walking away with a big inward smile!

    Butter On Prescription!

I must admit my first thought was that cream is my one and only Christmas treat! We really should get priority if there's a shortage lol

    Carvery treat

    Good point!

    Carvery treat

Me too normally but sometimes fancy a treat. Not saying I'd ever have one. Never have so far since I started 14 months ago. Just wondering theoretically which would be best.
