I don't expect hand outs but some people may I've joined Herbalife workout groups and that and starting to loose some (hard to do with other conditions and side effects from meds that cause weight gain)
Cos gives people more incentive to help with weight cos I have few friends that are T2 but moans that can't afford gyms and that so do sod all yeah it doesn't cost anything to go running or what not

Hi at first I did go depressed and that but after talking to my therapist (for other reasons) it did push me to join group and lose weight (actually completed a 5k run on 7th July) and eating habits completely changed
I'm the same my GP told me that my "diabetes" isn't at the self monitoring stage however I brought one so I can easily check if I have a funny 'turn' better safe then sorry
