Hi Winni.. l can confirm the dexcon is very accurate with the A1c .. l took my readings to my clinic and they were bang on .. on both a 3 month visit and then a 6 month visit.
I am type 2 and last year kept on a low carb diet and watched my levels drop and stabilise... taking Doctor's Best, Best...
Hi guys.. ok it's time to soon say goodbye to my dexcon g6 and wot a fantastic piece of kit it is.. l have learnt so much in the time lv had it. I did a full subscription of £159.00pm not cheap l know but well worth it if you can.
I have managed to find out what food does to my sugars so have...
It works for me also but l use the expensive stabilised version doctors best.
Now here's the interesting bit.. l take it in the evening and it clearly stabilises my blood levels during my sleep so no dawn phanoman giving me an average level reading of 5.2 to 5.6 over a 7hr sleep period.. happy days
Ok had the libre for 3 weeks wasn't overly impressed to be honest.. it was ok but found it sometimes a little out compared to the dexcon g6. The factory setting made it impossible to recalibrate when it was out.. l found out that the reading was 15 to 20min behind.
Having had both of them now...
I'm a type2 diabetic.. my wife has suffered from migraines for over 20years.. l was reading all sorts over the internet about how to reduce my sugar for my blood levels etc when l came across a statement that put 2+2 together.. basically you need sugar to survive and your brain needs sugar to...
Hi.
Well what l have noticed is if l have a good day with blood sugar levels well within my target range [5>12] and l have an average of 7.5 my liver dumps less while l'm asleep.. if l have a bad day say average 10 or above my liver dumps more making my morning level 8 to 9 .. over the month...
If had the trial and on my last sensor.
It is an eye opener.. it's amazing what your body does with carbs.. watching in real time is amazing. What your liver does at night blows my mind.. you learn so much even if you just do the trial [emoji3]
Ok quick update.. l went for the Dexcon g6 which you can trial before subscribing .. have had the first sensor which lasts 10days and now just changed to the 2nd.. you get x3 sensors in the trial pack and a transmitter which attaches to the sensor. This then bluetooths data to your downloaded...
I work at an airport thats all and go through the arch scanner all the time but was thinking of getting the g6 but didn't want to set anything off all the time when l went through
Hi following on from my post diy libre monitoring..
I'm looking at the dexcon g6 but my next big question is this..
Has anyone worn a libre or dexcon and passed through a arch or body scanner without any problems.
I spoke with dexcon sales today and they say its not been tested.
Would it loose...
As a choice l have also been reading about the dexcon g6.. they have a starter pack for £159.00 which has x3 sensors and applicators which will monitor for a whole month.. anyone looked into these
