    Yes these were the blood test results. I am eating LCHF. Full fat yogurt and berries for breakfast. Omelette , or soup or salad etc for lunch. Chicken or fish with leafy veg for dinner. No bread ,pasta, cake sweets etc. HbA1c BS down to 5.4 Cholesterol up from 4.7 to 7.6 Blood pressure also...

    So what if?

    I was diagnosed Type 2 a year ago ( 7.6 ) Since then I have Used the LCHF way of eating. My blood sugar reading continues to be below 5.3 . If I went to a new doctor now and he did not know my circumstances, would he diagnose me as diabetic? Not that I am going to, just interested.

    What now?

    I have nearly reached my ideal weight on the LCHF diet and my BG is now normal ( GP more than pleased) So I shall soon be needing a maintenance diet. Has anyone got one that is successful? I would like it to be as LCHF as possible but without the weight loss

    Hurray I did it

    I was diagnosed in March of this year with a HbA1C reading of 7.6 . I put myself on the LCHF diet and lost 2st 5lb. Just come back from my first check up with doctor. HbA1C is now 5.7 . I am so pleased . BP , cholesterol etc all fine

    Ice cream

    my husband has just bought me a tub of Frank's diabetic ice cream ( bless him) I am LCHF and articles on the net say this icecream is worse for diabetics than ordinary. Is this true and what would you suggest as an alternative ?
