I’ve recently switched over to Dexcom One+ and prefer it to Libre 2 Plus. I’m on iOS 18.5 with the Dexcom. I’ve always used the reader with libre sensors as I hate having to have a phone to hand. The reader is small enough to slip into a pocket.
Sorry to hear of your complications. Sometimes...
Yes, very easy to get on prescription. The Dexcom is slightly cheaper over a full year. If you decide to change to Dexcom just make sure you request 3 sensors a month as the sensor has a maximum life of 10 days. The Dexcom also comes with an overlay adhesive patch to increase its adhesion. I...
I asked Abbott for a list of error codes. Unfortunately, as expected, the list doesn’t include many of the various codes that appear in the Event log under Settings. I can only assume that codes not included probably refer to program events and expect that these are used by Abbott to identify...
The operating temperature range is 10c to 45c. If temperature is outside this range E1 Error code or Reading Unavailable should come up. I guess that storage temperature could be critical when a new sensor is stored for a long time. Probably best not to leave one in the glovebox of a car for too...
I wonder if dehydration affects the sensor. The sensors are used and licensed all over the world so I’d expect them to be able to cope with higher temperatures. You could be right, perhaps it’s a quality issue with certain batches? Perhaps some of us develop scar tissue around the sensor...
I’ve started my free 10 day trial of the Dexcom One+ sensor. The readings compare well with my BG meter. The sensor was started at 09:30 this morning. The sensor can take up to 24 hours to settle, but I’ve been getting accurate readings from start up.
09:30 BG7.8 Dexcom 5.8mmol.
10:02 BG8.2...
If you’re in the u.k you can notify Abbott on line by filling a form in on their website and they will send you a replacement. This will save you a phone call. The last 2 I’ve had failed well before the 14 days. I’ve also had another two fail, at 11 days. I think I’ve only had one Libre 2 plus...
I’ve had a reply back from Abbott that ignores the question I asked regarding the error codes. They have asked me for my sensor serial number, which is of course irrelevant to what I’ve asked. I believe we should at least be told why a sensor has failed as we are the users and some of the...
Just done a bit more searching for info on the error codes. It would appear that the majority of them are firmware runtime codes, so will probably have zero meaning for us. I’ll see what comes back from Abbott, but I doubt it’s going to be of much use. A shame because it would be helpful to know...
I’ve just sent an email to Abbott asking for a list of all the codes that appear in the event log. This could help us identify why the sensor has failed. In an earlier post I read that Er3, 365 indicates a blocked sensor filament?
If I get a positive response from Abbott I’ll list all the codes...
With T2 I would use blood glucose finger prick testing. Probably a good idea to use a sensor now and then to supplement the finger prick tests. The sensor will, if it’s working properly, give you a full picture of how good your control is over a 2 week period. Abbott will generally replace...
Does anyone have a Dummies Guide to the various error codes etc in the system status Event Log Screen? The Er3,365 code appears to indicate the sensor has died prematurely. I appear to have codes appearing a couple of times a day, sometimes more. Just wondering if anyone has any information on...
