    Cushings syndrome

No, I have done my running around for 10yrs. Done the research for them. I have tipped the jigsaw of issues out in front of them, put the perimeter together and left them to fill in the centre. Have yet again lost faith in services provided. Work have a health insurance policy I may just jump into.

    Cushings syndrome

Chased up today as was promised a call back on Tuesday, nothing. Spoke with a dsn who told me they will schedule a meeting soon but couldn't give me a date. So, in the mean time I will be continuing the 16u Humilin I a day alongside daily pump changes. Got my yearly review in July, just waiting...

    Cushings syndrome

I get the feeling the next round has just began and I will have to keep pushing for the surgery.

At what point do you stop treating a hypo?

I treat a low once with zero sugar monster, yes it worked as I have Cushings syndrome. Caffeine kicked the cortisol and liver dumped glucose straight back in

    Cushings syndrome

Hi All, T1 for 32yrs, currently on an omnipod and g7. Little bit of background, about 10yrs ago my insulin requirements increased quite rapidly. I was on 28u of insulatard and around 36u of actrapid a day. This doubled within 2wks, GP was basically useless as was stating I had no control and...

No need to repeat what Hospital already does

Hospital clinic i am at is one of the leading clinics in the UK, have patients flying in from Southampton. They are part of the university. Also being on a pump and cgm means that a GP surgery has none of the access or training for this. In fact a GP has little diabetes training

No need to repeat what Hospital already does

GP does not decide which Insulin you take , hospital clinic monitors your usage with sensor data. So as long as the hospital clinic do not change it, it is of no concern to them. QOF i amnwell aware if and you donrealise if a GP practice repeats wjat a hospital clinic hasvalready completed, they...

Why is my HCL no longer working?

My time in range was 84% before going on omnipod 5. 6months later it is now 14%. Hba1c has risen from 50 to 64. 200u of novorapid in the pump may last 36hrs. Previously I was taking a combined 84u daily of humilin I and humilin s. Got to the point I am adding 16u of humilin I alongside the pump...

No need to repeat what Hospital already does

Dear xxxx, I am writing to formally request a change in how my diabetes care is recorded on my GP record. I currently receive all my clinical management, including all blood tests (HbA1c, kidney function, etc.), via the xxxx Diabetes Clinic. My foot care is managed privately. My only...

    Professional drivers: 5 to Drive

Well you say awake hypos. I had a sleep hypos and GP informed the dvla of it upon renewal. I provided evidence from the ambulance report, GP was wrong and a nice letter from the DVLA basically called them out on it and pointed them to some learning material. Still took 3months to sort, but DVLA...

    COVID and insulin resistance

Never had covid or the jabs, was insulin resistant long before covid was in a lab.

Resistance, is it a futile battle?

Tresiba lasted if lucky 6hrs with me, so did tail off massively for me, doesn't work the same for everyone. Glargine worked better but that stuff caused other issues. Insulatard may be old school but it works fine for me and the costs work out cheaper than using tresiba as I take a third of the...
