    Vueling & Diabetic certificate

Hi Grant, am still happily away but didn’t have to produce my ‘diabetic certificate’ at Gatwick, did get taken to room to get frisked, body searched, pump and Dex scanned, boots taken off just in case but actually all quite pleasantly and quickly done. Had daughter to check and pick up rest of...

    Vueling & Diabetic certificate

Thanks so much for your replies, I think I’ll probably take a prescription and letter from hospital but will report back after Vueling flight next week. Am probably being over cautious in case there’s yet another hurdle to overcome in our diabetic lives. I do rather like the idea though of a...

    Vueling & Diabetic certificate

Has anyone travelled with Vueling Airlines and been asked to produce a ‘Diabetic Certificate’ from their doctor? This apparently is a requirement to be able to carry diabetic kit, ie my Omnipod 5, Dex G6 etc; I have a hospital letter but Certificate! After 40 years type 1, I seem to have missed...

Are more people getting Type 1 in their late twenties and early thirties?

That’s so interesting and have never heard the ENT thing before, I was diagnosed aged 26 a year post having my tonsils removed.

Omnipod 5 and Libre 2 plus closed loop system and compatible Android phones.

I moved on to O5 with Dexcom G6 and a Samsung s23 three weeks ago. My blood sugars are on the S23 and on the PDM which as someone said, is the only way currently to manage the O5 but it all works reasonably ok. I have a FitBit Versa to display sugar too. Hopefully the O5 phone app that is...

Is it possible to run a G6 at the same time as a Libre 2?

Thanks Jaylee and every who helped. Am now successfully using Dexcom, Libre 2 and x drip as CGM’s with also Sentinel x drip figure on FitBit Versa 4, this I’m now finding is micro managing to a ridiculous degree but given how little info I ever had over the last 40 years is almost entertaining...

Is it possible to run a G6 at the same time as a Libre 2?

Thanks for that, clarity is a new one on me, need to do some research on it as its been mentioned a few times over the last few weeks but get that about the watch, only 1 bt channel available I think.

Is it possible to run a G6 at the same time as a Libre 2?

That’s brilliant, a little out of date now but the same principles and shows how things have chance in just 3 years.

Is it possible to run a G6 at the same time as a Libre 2?

I’m about to start the Omnipod 5 at the weekend and currently have the Libre 2 with the Omnipod Dash that expires in 6 days. I‘m moving to a Dex G6 starting today probably, can I run both systems concurrently does anyone know? Seems a shame to waste the Libre and it would give me back up in case...

    NHS artificial pancreas roll out.

Oddly no not last appointment as I have been in the past but having been horrified by all the dreadful things that would happen with high sugars I‘m committed to keeping them low but sugars above 10 are never commented on these days, the risk must still be there?

    NHS artificial pancreas roll out.

Are you my twin? Same age, HBA1c, BMI, but 38 years in and park run time not as good as yours! I had a go at trialling the Omnipod 5 two weeks ago at the review but told children, pregnant women and those with bad control will get it first which I can live with after all this time. As others...

    Covid and type 1

I'm day 7/8 of first Covid and still struggling a little with high blood sugars, as I'm no longer showing a positive stripe I’d have thought I'd have returned to normal basal/ bolus levels but haven’t yet. Does this go on for long? We're all different but am surprised it hasn’t settled yet.
