    @drawbridge35 I also have coeliac and type 1 and gluten doesn't affect blood sugar. Eliminating gluten heals the lining of the gut in people with coeliac disease allowing better absorption of nutrients in food. It might be a good idea to do a bit of research to verify this for yourself.

    I put the G7 applicator in a 4 litre sharps bin (it just squeezes through the hole). I get two on prescription and take the full ones back to the chemist. That seems to work well without being too bulky. There is an introducer needle in the applicator so it needs recycling.

    Wrapping one thick rubber band around the top half and one around the bottom half helps a bit as it gives you a grip. I'm not sure the knife will work. I'm stressed every time trying to open it. I agree it is a joke, particularly as the company must have an incredibly lucrative contract...

    I have this problem every time. You need to have very strong wrists and hands. In my opinion this is a design fault. There is no consideration for people with arthritis or other physical difficulties.
