Feeling Ill & at the end of my tether!

Hi there - I am using the Navigator (Abbott) CGM and the Omnipod pump. They work really well together. I started with the CGM about 4/5 yrs ago - I took the decision that I wasn't going to get this from the NHS so took the leap and did it myself. It was the best thing I have done. I can do...

    I hate Diabetes!

emmaw - dont lose it. I have the same about venting and its odd that others dont. There is so much on these sites of "doing well" - I am new to the forum thing - but also know that a rant is sometimes better than a "why me" moment ! To make you laugh, my brother, who a great artist, suggested...

    First time abroad without parents...

I started to travel alot for biz four years ago - the best for me has been CGM Navigator or use the Dexcom unit. My colleges know to look at my pda if if beeps, be it in a pub (5 hours the wrong way in NY) or in London. They all see which way the arrow is moving and I have never had a problem...

I will make you laugh - i carry a CGM (Navigator) - Omnipod PAD - Blackberry and an iPhone. So workis easy, I had a suit made with six small pockets in the lining !! But when casual, ie beach or evening I am stuffed - especially if I am carrying test strips to calibrate !! Man bag for the...

    FRIO WALLETS

I have travelled with both Frio packs - duo and single - I used the single in the back of my cycle shirt - always worked - now on a disposable pump - so moving on with the heat issues. FRIO is good and works - dont fret - just be sensible. Gos

Russ Having read through your posts it sounds very familar. I have ended up going over to the new Omipod pump which is an external pump - I change it every three days and have a CGM as wel, so two things on my arm that dont bother me at all. It takes out the Lantus or Lavemir. Now just on...

    I hate Diabetes!

Just a general question to everyone or anyone - I have three boys and am meant to be a responsible parent - but recently I really loath the whole diabetic thing. Just not fair, hard work and a pain in the backside. Its one of those lows I guess - just need to pull my socks up and get on with...

    I hate Diabetes!

Vikki Thanks for that - does the Dexcom show good time in picking up the hypo - ie not over shoot ? I have found that the Navigator has a trail time where the meter is late at picking up the trend and therefore when exercising I can take too much glup than needed ? Gos

Not sure how this all works being new to the forum - but Vicki your comments ring a big bell with me. I use Navigator CGM but am looking to move to Dexcom, it has much better 7 day data. Just started on the OminPod so have two things on my arm. Finding it hard at times but I have stppoed the...
