Hi. Was diagnosed with diabetes in 1992 at the age of 26. I was told it was due to the shock my body went through after an horrendous reaction to fertility meds I had taken that nearly killed me. Since then I have taken the same view of diabetes my parents had.....total denial. My weight has gone up and down over the years n I'm now about 50lbs overweight. I'm ready to take my diabetes seriously now. We are expecting our first grandchild and I want to be around and in good health to see him grow up. So I'm going to low carb and up the exersise and get my BG levels down.
