Good to hear. I hope it does. Is it the R type you have?, and are you sticking to 2 tablets a day? I'm just wondering as I'm thinking of trying a different one due to the expense.
I hope you are in a much better place now and glad the meds helped you.
I am not in the pain you must have been,
Mine is more Numbness in both legs and feet with pain underfoot all causing weakness and walking difficulty. I lowered my hba1c quickly and then ended up with this! I didn't know...
Thank you. I have been known to be impatient, I expect too much! THO, I realise that won't be the case here, especially as I've been struggling for 5 months! Can anyone advise on increasing the dosage and after how long??
OK, So, just took my first 300mg of R-alpha lipoic acid this morning! Just hoping it helps (with at least ) the leg numbness. Just need to ask the doc about adding amitriptyline or duloxetine to the pregabalin I've been taking!!
Got my r-alpha lipoic acid tablets today. 100mg. Any advise on dosages and times of day to take these for the numbness in legs and feet. Value any advice from anyone who has/is taking these TIA
Hey, how bad was your diabetic neuropathy (symptoms) Do you take 300mg in a morning? I've ordered some to take alongside pregabalin. Something has to help!
I will do that, thank you for the advice. I've ordered 100mg ones as that was all they had in stock (good job really) What would you suggest? I was thinking of 300mg a day for a week before upping the dose?
Thank you. 600mg a day seems to be the most effective for diabetic neuropathy. Just need to know how to take it. I'm thinking split it morning and evening. I am willing to try anything, it has been 5 months now Hopefully this will help!
Thanks for this, After asking around and reading up on these forums, I have ordered the Swanson make, they come in 100mg capsules.
Anyone know what dosage I should take for neuropathic symptoms, numbness etc? TIA
