Diagnosed Type 2 diabetic about fifteen years ago. Eventually prescribed Metformin slow release tablets - just two per day. Slow release due to stomach pain. Eventually developed bowel problems so taken off the tablets and no more problems in that area. Three months after leaving off the tablets and after a blood test was taken the results showed that the readings were, according to my Doctor, "satisfactory". So, no tablets at the present time. I am able to eat most foods, but I use the word MODERATION as my guide. Alcohol, rarely.
