    I wonder if she has made a connection between food and being sick when she was poorly in hospital with initial diagnosis. Who wants to eat food if they think they will be sick? My son was an extremely fussy eater. I used to serve a plate of food (what we would normally eat - nothing special)...

    I'm still new to it, and I worry on behalf of my son rather than myself. :oops: Is it possible that the cannula itself is kinked? If the tubing looks fine with no air bubbles and you know you've bolused, I would probably look towards changing the cannula and site. The one time my son didn't...

    Thanks for all the info. Will be looking those sites up for sure! My son has now been threatened by the Diabetic Nurse that if any infusion set "just happens" to come off again, she will be removing his Wii from our house personally! Thus far, they have remained in place! :roll: Seven years...

    Thanks for the welcome! :) We had the best day so far yesterday and I actually had more than 4 hours sleep! So hopefully getting into the swing of it. Yes I've heard the first six weeks are the worst! Just another four weeks..... :roll:

    Our first two weeks with my son's pump seems to have caused more drama than when he was first diagnosed and in the throes of DKA! We were given an initial one month supply of infusion sets and cartidges. Luckily we've received our next three months supply, because I only have two infusion sets...
