I have just become totally insulin dependent following pancreatitis attack which had me in the ICU in an induced coma and a lengthy stay in hospital. As a result my pancreas no longer produces any (or enough) insulin. My triglycerides which have been very high, lowered to almost normal whilst I was in the ICU and on insulin.
Really struggling with how to control my blood glucose. I have been told NOT to do ketogenic diet but to stick to the medical profession's version of low carb i.e. 130g a day.
