    Breakfast Idea Please!!

have you tried eating more? It sounds as if you're having too much insulin, rather than eating the wrong thing. Or spread out eating your breakfast into two sittings. Cereal first, then toast an hour later. Peanut Butter is quite a slow acting carb (surprisingly) so try that on brown toast :)...

How do you qualify for a pump?

With great difficulty, in my experience. Tried to get one for 20 years in the UK. Came to France in 2005, and got my pump this year. According to my specialist, who has close ties to the US, UK and Germany (he has produced many papers which have been published internationally, and worked with...

Fed up, fed up, fed up!

Not sure if this would work, but how about trying a 24 hour fast, to get your insulin back to a good level? Trouble with soup!

Not sure honeymoon period works 2 years after being diagnosed. I'm not sure what the issue is - you peak after you eat - everyone does. Ok, 12 is a bit high (was told 9 was what to aim for, ideally), but you went down ok, and I don't think this should cause you any problems. If it's only once...

    Hi from France

Hey there :) I'm currently living and working in Paris, and have been for the past 7 years or so. I still don't really speak the language (since I don't have to use it in my work or daily life) but know enough to get by. I have had T1 for 27 years or so (since I was 12), and have been trying...

    Bubbles when drawing up insulin

I had a look, but wasn't able to find an answer to my question on the forums. I have had my pump for about 2 weeks now, and everything is going great. This morning, however, I drew up my insulin to fill the reservoir, to find I didn't have enough. Bit of a pain, since I hadn't realised, so...
