    Thank you Antje77. No about testing...at all. I was asked to go in for testing but because my glucose was too high at that point, they couldn't do the testing. What is meant by A+E?

    Also, if one is insulin resistant, wouldn't that determine the type of meds one would take? If one is insulin resistant, is puzzles me why one would be on insulin.

    Thank you so much. I do indeed want so much to understand and would love to have an endocrinologist. I misquoted about the glucose...my fogged head is another part of what is happening. Is there a test to determine if the pancreas is "tired" and not producing enough insulin...or that my liver...

    I had a few high readings lately of 33.5, 27.3, 32.7. I take Forziga. It doesn't seem to be working. There hasn't been a test to see what type 2 diabetes I have - over production of glucose by pancreas or glucose resistance. When diagnosed, I asked for an endocrinologist, but haven't seen one...
