Our 5y old son refuses the injections

Is not the most helpful response .... I might not be the best person to advise but in terms of it being traumatising I get where you are coming from and know that you’re also aware of the need to do it :) It sounds like there are some really good suggestions already, my friend got help for her...

    Spikes after meals

To be honest it’s simply because I’ve never spoken to anyone about it and I’ve tried looking at things online but I’m better with people going through things with me so I can ask questions which is why I was looking forward to the kaT1e course. It will go ahead eventually :)

    Newly diagnosed and totally confused

Hello I have a LADA/1.5 diagnosis and had a similar situation to you. Had I not moved county I fear I’d still be battling with a type 2 misdiagnosis and still be really unwell. I agree push forward for the tests mentioned, I was lucky the nurse where I am now decided to do them anyway as was...

    Spikes after meals

I am an insulin user and I think part of the issue is I haven’t been able to get my head around carb counting as haven’t been able to attend a T1 course due to lockdown so I don’t even know where to start with ratios to cover carbs or anything

    Spikes after meals

Hello everyone I’m noticing that I’m getting spikes after meals. It seems more noticeable now that I’m using the libre than when I was just finger pricking, it’s definitely because of the graphs! How do people manage/prevent significant spikes after meals? Thank you!
