2 mugs of tea on a morning, then water flavoured with sugar free squash rest of day. I bought a water filter jug because our water tastes terrible, so now able to drink loads
I'm on Trulicity and I received a text from my surgery to say there was a shortage and I may have to temporarily stop the medication as they have no alternatives at the moment :(
Good home made remedy and always works for me. A teaspoonful of bicarbonate of soda in glass of tepid water twice a day and plenty of glasses of plain water in between :wink:
Yes, I normally have toast and it takes longer than 2 hours to come back to normal BG and it usually spikes me higher at around 9/10. I'll stick with the porridge from now on :D
I've got fed up with breakfast meals, so I decided to try porridge. For the last 3 days, my levels have been around the 5 mark before breakfast, around 8/9 one hour after and between 4/5 two hours after.
Does this seem ok?

I take one 500mg metformin twice a day. One at breakfast and one at tea time. I have no problem remembering to take my morning one, but for some strange reason I keep forgetting the tea time one. Does anyone know if I would be ok to take both of the tabs together with breakfast?

I never thought of buying a different meter. The one I have was given by my aunt as she had 2. It's an optium exceed and I have looked on ebay for strips and there are very few for this meter. So I will definately look at buying one of those you suggested.

I was refused testing strips on prescription today with the excuse that I don't need to self test, the 3 monthly HBA1C is enough!
On questioning this, the nurse did admit that it's partly down to cost :evil:
