Sorry I have only just returned to the board, my hbc thing is 41, so one point off pre-diabetes, but I have tested 2 hrs after weetabix and it is 8.7 which I believe is pre-diabetic.
I am just waiting for Blue Horizon to find a nurse to come out and draw some blood for a full thyroid and vitamin profile, I could not get enough blood with one of their finger prick tests, then I will have a better idea of where to start.
They also say that all the ferritin and b12 vit d3 has to be high to help convert thyroid hormones, and cortisol addrenals etc are also involved, it is a very complex subject.
They do say that Hypo weight will not go until it is properly treated, with optimal thyroid hormones and this may not be Levothyroxine only - you probably know all this already, and hypothyroid patients have a different type of weight to do with muncin? This wont come off with diet/exercise and...
Just had a look at the Exante shakes and they do a coconut flavour one, and someone on the show was saying that it did not taste like a bounty - so probably was Exante.
I am learning a lot about thyroid now, as have been over to health unlocked re thyroid, and it does seem a lot of people need to be on a lot higher dose than what the TSH levels state on blood tests.
I even bought some stone ground porridge oats, but they will be going to the food bank, as I don't think I will bother even trying them - seem to be much better on eggs for breakfast.
