Hi there.. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I had major operation of my tongue. The biggest concern was infection. But..I was ok...they took appropriate measures when they found out I was a diabetic. It took twice as long to heal for me than with normal people. :)

YES... I have been on the pump 1 year now and have been hospitalized twice. Never was hospitalized before. About 3 times a month I have malfunctioning catheters and tubing. I am seriously considering swtiching back to MDI.
