    DKA - Type 2

Thanks! I got all my numbers down to safe ranges (except my waist measurement!) by the time I went on my Desmond Course last year. I can't over emphasise how awful i felt before i was diagnosed and started treatment, i was so ill, despite my HbA1c only being 48 at the time. I have no idea what...

Oh, and I have the implant because I was diagnosed with ovarian endometriosis years ago. Anything that stops menstruation is a good thing. I've also had abnormal cells and a loop excision of my cervix, so I won't have anything inserted below. I couldn't dilate in labour as my cervix was...

Yes, I completely reviewed my diet, and I've lost 2 stone, on purpose. I scratch cook all evening meals, and make healthier choices during the day. My HbA1c was only 48 when I was diagnosed, but I was literally on my knees with it.... Exhaustion, having to have naps, and chronic daily...

    DKA - Type 2

Thanks! I'm alarmed that no-one ever told me what any of these things look like, and what to do (go to hospital / see my GP). All I know is that after a few days without Dapaglaflozin I felt iller, and iller until I was utterly on my knees. Exactly how I was prior to diagnosis. Given I've...

    DKA - Type 2

Since I resumed taking my consultant level meds last Wednesday I've gradually been feeling better. Today is first day I feel relatively normal. I'm concerned how ill I've been just removing the 5mg Dapaglaflozin x

Yes. I've been using Implanon for years. My relapse started when when my GP wouldn't prescribe me Dapaglaflozin in June. I've had the implant in since December and felt fine until the Dapaglaflozin was stopped.

    DKA - Type 2

Hi, No I don't have a blood test meter I'm afraid. I was diagnosed last year. I've attended a Desmond Course and done my own reading. As my HbA1c went to 40 almost immediately after diagnosis, treatment and diet changes, I've never bothered as the nurses running our course said we didn't need...

    DKA - Type 2

I was under a consultant because I have an adrenal adenoma which had been classified as benign and non functional after 3 years of testing. I had been discharged literally 12 months before I found out I was T2 diabetic last June. The symptoms of my diabetes were chronic, prolonged headaches, and...

    DKA - Type 2

Yesterday I crashed. Big time. After my fab results last month (holding steady at 40), my GP thought it was a good idea to reduce my meds again (after halving my Metformin at Christmas from 1g x 2 to 500mg x 2 within a week of me seeing my Endo Consultant who said to stay on the same dose, she...
