I have been type 1 for 53 years, and am surprised I made it this long!! I was terrible in my teens..... didn't care....my doctor told me he could smell me!!! All that sugar oozing out my orifices!! I have since cared for myself a lot better, and feel the better for it. I so wish I'd taken better...
Not a cure, but a great hint for diabetic feet in bed - having a cuddle buddy pillow under your feet. The micro beads are so soothing and gentle on the feet. I'm also on amitriptyline, which also helps with sleeping.
I use a small soft camera case, day and night. I clip it through the tie holes on my pj bottoms at night, and through the belt loops on my jeans during the day, using a small dog clip (can’t think what it’s called). Easy to get into as well!
