Well all my life (I am 25), I have loved sugar and carbs. I do NOT have a healthy diet but do occasionally eat fruit and other healthy things, but it is mostly "junk."
I recently got my glucose checked in the US and my fasting blood glucose was 85 and my HbA1c was 5.7%. The chart says anything under 5.7 is considered normal and between 5.7 and 6.4 is prediabetes so technically I am right on the edge of pre. With that said, I am happy that my numbers are good...
