    Wife bought me a bar of this,I know we are told to avoid "diabetic" food products but she loves me etc.so I ate some earlier now it did warn of possible laxitive effect but the flatulance produced I could of flown a kite,very embarising be warned :oops:

    I'd been taking metformin for a long time and 2 years ago started getting same problem as you i.e sudden dash to bog,taking the sr version has improved the situation and yes I think they cost more as a recent stay in hospital they were reluctant to give me sr had to get my own via home

    Diabetes and Sunglasses

    I've been going 3-4 times year to local hospital eye clinic(retinopathy)and never heard that one but I do wear prescription sun glasses and also a dark tinted visor on my crash helmet(still not legal to use a dark tint visor in UK,never been stopped but will use this as a reason if I am)

    Hello there-new to the forum,looks to be a good source for advice.I'm type 2 diagnosed 10 years now not been a "good" diabetic but since 2 week stay in hospital foot problems was an eye opener i.e how easy it is to lose a limb I'm trying harder :wink:
