@azure thank you. I promised myself this pregnancy that I would stay calm and not worry about things too much and up until today I seem to have been doing ok.
Today I am in full meltdown mode and worrying about every little thing. Got to love these pregnancy hormones! I just want to get into...
Hi all.
T1 diabetic for 15 years, on MDI. I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant and was looking for some other people's experiences.
For the last 3 weeks I've been having increasingly recurring hypos and my insulin requirements have been dropping. I had a scan on Monday and baby looks perfect and...
@EllsKBells thank you for your post. Made me smile which is a hard feat these days!
Feeling slightly more positive today, BG stable all night until around 4am when it started to rise. DP perhaps?
With the wealth of information and the people on this site it will be impossible not to succeed :)
@azure thankyou for your kind words. I only recently discovered the forum and now wondering what I ever did without it! BGs finally seem to have stabilised but I'm now scared to eat! I think I'll go baby steps and have a low carb day :)
@Juicyj thanks for your reply. I know the sensible thing is to to keep calm but it's so difficult. I will try a bath this eve and see if that helps. My DSN today said to adjust basal rates every 3 days until I get a steady reading as 1 night isn't enough, maybe that will help for you also :)
@catapillar haven't I keep having to abandon the tests due to hypos which led me to start decreasing the basal initially.
I ate chilli and rice for dinner. I did have garlic bread but never usually have this kind of spike after. Pre dinner reading was 6.9 post dinner reading (2 hours later)...
Hi all
I was having issues with my bloods for the last 3 weeks going low in the night. See my last post
Nighttime Hypos

Now it's gone the other way. I woke up on a high of 21 this morning feeling thoroughly unwell...
Hi :)
Yes I always double check with my BG meter as I have had accuracy issues with the Libre too!
I have had two replaced sensors so far but they will only replace ime for significant discrepancies e.g. 3-4mmol.
Hi @tim2000s. Thanks for the reply. I take my levimir at 9pm each night and then again at 10am. The last bolus I had last night was at 6.30pm when I had 8 units with my evening meal.
Basal testing seems like a good idea, I will definitely look into that!
I'm due to go in for surgery on...
Hi all.
Struggling today with a horrible hypo hangover. Something weird is going on!!
For the last 3 weeks I have been going hypo every night, not just a small dip but a significant one that is lasting for 2+ hours and not waking me up. I am having to set an alarm and eat every night.
3...
Hi all.
I've had an email today from Dexcom with an offer for 1 sensor and 1 transmitter for £150. I currently use the Freestyle Libre.
MY questions are:
Am I right in thinking the transmitter has to be changed every 3 months? If so, how much is a replacement.
How much is an individual...
Ah that makes me feel a little better. I'm so worried about infection etc! They've finally come down to 13.5 but not sure whether they'll carry on. I hope so!
The situation is so hard without having to contend with diabetes too! We've got to be the strongest of the strong.
Hope you're doing...
Gemma, I'm incredibly sorry for your loss too. It's the worst feeling in the world isn't it :(
Out of interest how high were your levels post op?
I'm on correction dose number 4, up to 15 units now since last night and still can't get below 17mmol and starting to feel very unwell :( ketones...
Hi @himtoo
Thankyou for your reply. Such a difficult time and I feel like I'm battling the diabetes side alone. My family and partner are amazing but the diabetes is still and unknown to them, as much as it is to me currently!
I know it's probably the stress/emotions pushing it high but still...
