Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

As you have just observed, they aren't always right! Diabetes is very individual. 35 for you sounds fine but in another person, it could mean lots of hypos with high readings in between. At the end of the day, I suppose it's a judgement we each must make according to our own situation.

    Has anyone had this happen?

I think this is a great response! I've used it myself!

    Has anyone had this happen?

Almost worse I once got sacked for being hypo on the phone and an MP in Westminster for whom I was working told me not to do a bloodtest in front of her!

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

    Islet Cell transplants

Well, that's an interesting dilemma and I can entirely understand your anxieties. I have found, I guess, a bit of a reluctance to talking about the downsides honestly. All the same, I am delighted and thrilled to be where I am now. I have so far just had the one transplant on 6 April in...

    Islet Cell transplants

Hi, I would like to recreate a forum group within the Diabetes Discussion tab that concentrates on the experiences of those of us - still only a few hundred across the UK - who have undergone an Islet Cell Transplant. I think we can probably learn a lot from one another and perhaps also provide...
