Yes it was! I found it interesting also. It was the first support meeting I had attended and it was super interesting talking diabetes and my poor friend didn't have a clue what we were talking about.
Did you make it to the one last night on going on holiday with t1? That was also somewhat of...
Yesterday I was all set up with a new pump. I decided on the Medtronic 640g and so far, I have been most impressed. It does all what my previous pump did but seems easier and has a couple of added features - like the fact I can set up a bolus from my Contour Next glucose meter!
I have also...
Evening all!
I've been a bit MIA for a week or two. Uni stuff getting in the way! But now I've finished my placement and have 2 weeks annual leave to relax... no, wait, I have another assignment due in 2 weeks and I haven't even started yet. Boooo! I have probably spent the last 4 days doing...
I had it all planned, food packed and counted...
Then the cake and sandwiches appeared. The ward clerk retired today and resistence was futile. I'm so weak.
I have been awarded the 'Seriously likeable' trophy. I'm not entirely sure what that entails but considering I have never taken part in any team effort other than school choir, I therefore have never won a trophy before. I feel rather pleased with myself.
Morning all,
Coffee has been drunk whilst sat outside eating delicious stawberries.
Now sat in my sun dress awaiting my mother to go shopping :shy: All being well, I'll have some new clothes and food! Procrastinating doing my assignment due in a week.
Hope you all have better plans than me...
Hi Mamma99, welcome to the forum.
I was diagnosed aged 9 over 24yrs ago. I was told in the beginning I would remain in the honeymoon phase (which lasts variable lengths for different people) and hypos were normal within this time.
As for correction doses, I was advised not to correct unless...

My tastes are pretty eclectic. I like all sorts of music and films and currently hold an...
A cloud has dampened my sunny day - apparently I need another part for my phone and it wont arrive for another week.
That gin tonight may be rather larger than anticipated!
More good news awaited me whenI got home from fat class - my new phone screen has arrived and limb reattachment will commence after lunch.
Today is a good day.
We've tried the hash browns from the recipe card. Not bad but I'm not sure I'll be making them too often. I'm quite fond of the oaty muffins, perfect for on the go - works out 2 for 1sp.
You've reminded me that I have a nice bottle of elderflower gin sitting there begging to be drunk, cheers to...
Morning all.
Sun is out here in Liverpool and I've got my summer dress and feeling fab! Grand news of 3lbs off. All the running around on the ward has paid off.
Off to hang my washing out and get back to work. Have a fab day all!
Well, that's me done for the night. I'm going cross eyed looking at policies.
Taking any good vibes ya'll want to send my way for the scales tomorrow morning and I promise to be honest about the result!
Night all, sleep well.
