excuse me but you have no idea what I’ve been through with it. I was on the normal one and I also have ulcerative colitis so had an absolute miserable time on it.
I’m on the slow release and I’m fine.
Thank you so much for your reply! I’m glad you understand. Yes I shall give it a month and see how I feel then discuss with doc about increasing the dose if I’m okay with it.
If I’m hungry I have less control you see.
It’s a well known side effect in a lot of people. It helped me a lot in that regard which is why I’m wondering if the sl version is the same.
I can’t eat too much fat it makes me feel so sick so not having an appetite helps me.
Sorry I’m not sure I explained. I was on Metformin for 1 yr. it was intolerable so asked to be put onto slow release.
I was on 2000mg of Metformin now I’m on 500mg of the extended release.
My doc says that’s all I need to take, but that seems low to me?
Hi all. Been put on Metformin slow release but doc says 1 dose of 500mg is enough and I don’t need to go higher.
I’m not convinced. I thought it’s the same dose of 1000mg in the morning and same in the evening.
I want it to take my appetite away.
Anyone help??
