    Hypo vomit?

In my experience, discovering that I'd vomited has often been the only sign that I'd had a severe nocturnal hypo, so hypos & vomiting are so very clearly linked I've never spent any time wondering why. If your stomach is empty the vomit can be very clear & hardly noticeable once dried, so...

    T1 CURE...????? really

I'm ready with my complaints already - There'll only be a choice between red or blue magnet covers for adults, or a range of garish ones for children! :(

    T1 CURE...????? really

Excellent idea :) You'll be able to get a choice of trendy magnet covers of course, with especially bright ones for kids. Keep the magnet stuck on the fridge door to remind you to zap yourself while making your morning tea ;)

Am using a pc at the moment and I see your name Christopher! Boldly stated in your signature, but the name under your photo beside each post remains Chrisopher - you must still be registered on the forum without a t. Not to worry, just as it welcomes those who've lost their beta cells, I'm sure...

Lantus doesn't seem to be involved at all in my hypos, but I'd agree to try Levemir or maybe even a pump if you sent me all of those £££££££££££ ! I do think hard and often about how very nice it'd be to have a cgm as I've trialed one and loved it, but unfortunately my consultant / pct wouldn't...

Hiya that's not an offensive suggestion :) but I still haven't ever considered it because Lantus seems to work very well for me. If I'm not eating anything at all and don't bolus but just take my usual Lantus dose, my BG is perfectly stable all day. So my dosage must be right & I haven't...

June 1981 for me. Yes, please post your hypo-stories. I'm still waiting to hear about the police and the tree! You must have been busy - I see you've gone from being a newbie to being a regular while I was offline :)

Hey @chrisopher who 'likes to be tagged in a post' - are you really chrisopher wihout a 't'? Your question is liable to send me on a rant ;) - this issue has had a huge impact on my life so it is not just a question of semantics in differentiating between the vastly different experiences of...

Hi @KevFitz, fellow 1981'er! Sorry its taken me so long to reply. I've been taking a break from this forum but presume in the meanwhile you've had time to work out how to tag members with @ or invite them to start private conversations? I have already posted some stories about my first hypos at...

@kevinfitzgerald The unhappy tree? I've missed that story somehow, also any mention of the police - has it been deleted or is it in another thread? If you (like me) have a book's worth of amusing hypo anecdotes please do add them here!

    T1 CURE...????? really

This conversation is being conducted at very different levels with some informative links to recent research (Thank you @noblehead @phoenix @tim2000s & others), leading to interesting discussions about the potential of different research paths, but where it becomes a contest of value judgements...

    T1 CURE...????? really

I didn't mean to be incendiary by bringing up the topic of religion, but exactly the same arguments are being used, such as 'people need hope' ☺. Nevertheless since @Robinredbreast has already added sex-ism to the mix (Happy Birthday!), maybe all we need now is a political slant on this - such...

    T1 CURE...????? really

This thread has become so reminiscent of debates over theism! With comments from the believers on the one side, holding onto their faith - for which read 'hope for a cure', and rebuttals from the agnostics & atheists on the other side, declaring their 'realism' is not pessimism but a happily...
