Anyone having big reliability issues with Freestyle Libre 2 Plus sensors?

Oh and there's always a lag in my readings : 10 mins plus. That was so with Libre 2 also, as mentioned above, because the sensor is reading interstitial fluid.

Anyone having big reliability issues with Freestyle Libre 2 Plus sensors?

I've been fine with Libre 2 plus. It does take one or sometimes 2 days for the readings to settle down, but the Libre 2 used to do that, too.

Novopen Echo Plus insulin pen suddenly broke

Many thanks. They're so expensive I was reluctant to ask for a spare, but I've requested one now.

Novopen Echo Plus insulin pen suddenly broke

Sharing this for info as a warning and interested to know if anyone else has had the same issue : this morning with no warning my Novopen Plus insulin pen broke. That meant I couldn't give myself any fast acting insulin, as the Novorapid comes in cartridges and I'd no means of injecting it. I...

CGM - Where do you wear yours ?

This sounds really useful and I'm going to try it when I place my next sensor. By 'top of your arm" do you mean the outside or sort of round the front so it faces the same way you do ? Hope this makes sense.

    Fluoxetine

I'm a type 2 and have been on Fluoxetine for a few years now. I've found it works really well for me. The diabetes itself made me depressed at the start, and I'm still prone to depression if I get very stressed, or over Winter when it's so dark and it's not tempting to go out for a walk as the...

** Possible Boots The Chemist Alert **

It's definitely my Boots too ! I order from the GP on the Internet, and they process it quickly. But the Chemist (one of those adjacent to the surgery) takes ages, and these days doesn't seem to text. I keep a reserve stock of all my Meds so I can't run out. I give the Boots a week to fulfil...

Prednisolone and insulin - any tips ?

Does anyone have experience of taking a short course of steroid tablets (prednisolone) for asthma while on long-acting insulin (Lantus) ? I've been warned my blood sugars will rocket, and I will be testing frequently and expect to have to adjust my insulin, but any tips will be welcome.

    Monitoring

Really sympathising with you. I've been there too. I 've been testing for 10 yrs now and I still can't bring myself to prick my fingers. Like you, I had a real fear ot testing. But I have an Abbot Freestyle meter, which only needs a really tiny drop of blood, and I test on the backs of my...
