Hi I agree with the above about adjusting your basal , I live in France and when at home I use a sugar syrup which I buy in litr bottles but when I am out I always carry Glucostabs that come in 10 tab tubes but I buy 6x50 tabs on eBay which is more economical and keep the 10 tabs tube filled...
Hi i had no problems as well with my old animas pump it just had a bare needle that you pushed into the veil turned it upside down and filled the reservoir and tapped for the odd bubbles , i think medtronic designed the filling of the reservoir to cover the needle for younger users ,
