Hi
Can anyone tell me if it’s normal to have a hypo about 1.5 - 2 hours after a meal.
This is very distressing as I have to eat again when I’m not hungry.
Twice in the last 10 days.
Many thanks
Sarah
Jenny15 I have no idea why I’m having hypos and mostly I have one a week. I’ve been on insulin since December. I’ve tried jelly babies and jelly beans but always has the same effect.
Thank you for your reply, regards, Sarah
So sorry not a nice subject.
Does anyone else have to rush to the loo after taking dextrose tablets and/or normal coke for treating hypos?
Never had such a bad stomach since using Byduron injections for lowering blood sugars years ago.
Hi, could anyone who also uses this insulin let me know if there are any side effects. Namely, I have lower leg pain and a stiff ankle and the start of this coincided with starting insulin in December.
Many thanks
Sarah
I’ve only been on insulin since December (Type 2 using oral meds also) and I keep going hypo after eating unusual amount of carbs. For example; 120g carbs of pizza at 5pm (44 units of insulin and 1000 metformin) and 3.3 hypo by 9:20pm.
Does anyone have any idea why? I rang Diabetes UK careline...
Can someone please explain why my nurse has said that the insulin I inject in the morning, shows in Blood sugar results in the evening and the evening injection shows up the following morning.
Many thanks,
Sarah x
Hi there,
I’m Sarah and I’ve just joined. I really need some answers please....
Does anyone else have a pre-occupation with food? I’m told I think constantly of food even when other things are going on. I admit I am always thinking about my next meal.
Many, many thanks x
My consultant put me on Exenatide in September and I couldn't tolerate the sickness so stopped taking it in November. I still haven't recovered from it yet, I have zero appetite and have gone off food virtually altogether. Has this happened to anyone else and when will I get back to normal?
I'm still struggling. I don't eat much at all. I am suffering severe stress and the thought of eating makes me feel unwell. My dietician has discharged me because she can't help. Even the foods I used to love makes my stomach feel like a washing machine. Thanks for asking x
Thank you so much for the recipes I will try to start gathering some ingredients a bit at a time.
I appreciate you taking the time for that. Take care
