I have had a headache nearly every day for the last two weeks is this normal with diabetes? I'm due to have a blood test Friday and then see the DN for my first check up since being diagnosed. I will mention it to her but the help and support is very limited.
I have just received my results and I have background retinopathy. As with everything else so far with diabetes...here's a leaflet...now off you go. I feel angry at the lack of support and communication you get from the medical profession. Sorry for the rant, I will have a nice collection of...
Hello @Welshman1952 and welcome. I took the suggestions on here and brought a SD Codefree tester and it has really helped me over the last couple of months to understand what food affects me and what I can eat. I am trying the Low carb high fat diet and finding it OK and have only really had a...
Thank you everyone. I went this morning after only a few hours sleep due to worrying. The staff were lovely and explained what they were going to do. The drops did sting, bit like getting your mascara in your eyes. My vision was blurry for a couple of hours or so and I am still a bit light...

Happily living in a village in Northamptonshire. Work as a Criminal Justice Drug & Alcohol Worker and I am also a qualified Psychotherapist in my spare time.

I am finding this too, but I am learning about it the best I can and trying to get to grips with all the changes in my life. I guess that's all you can do really. It takes a while to get acceptance, at least for me it does. Good luck x
In Costa's just ask for an Americano with pouring cream. It's all I ever have and it's lovely. They give you a miniature jug of cream so you can add as much or as little as you want.
I have just asked my local waitrose if they would order me a loaf as they only get five loaves in over three days and I am struggling to get in when they are there due to working. If not I am going to empty space in my freezer and order four at a time. Very nice bread though.
