I'm a busy young mum of two. I have a daughter of 18 months and a stepdaughter who just turned 2 years old so its busy busy busy in our house. My fiancee is my rock even though I'm sure I drive him mad most days.
I was diagnosed with type 1 in January 2014, one hell of a shock and it turned my world upside down in an instant. At first i was given twice a day insulin and metformin tablets but my poor tummy couldn't handle the metformin. After 3 weeks I changed to MDI and have been on it ever since. A couple of months after the diagnosis I was then told I have graves disease so again my life was tipped on its end and I had to start another new set of tablets - remembering to take medication is defiantly not my strong point and often puts me in hot water with the gp.
Having diabetes has sent me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, still does, a constant battle of wills every day but I get there. Some are good days and some are down right terrible it I'm still fighting on and that's what matters
