    Get your statins changed - Simvastatin causes many people to have muscle aches & cramps (it also caused me not to sleep well). I changed to Atorvastatin plus I take a daily capsule if Statgusrd (you can get it on Amazon) & the problem went after 3-4 days. (I've been Type 1 for 3 years).

    Very sad about your dog but you need to take insulin. Talk to your doctor about ossubly changing your insulin. I found that when I changed to Levemir as my long acting one, I did not put on weight.

    Warning: Chocolate Cake Horror

    When I make cakes, I use Natvia sugar substitute (there's one for baking - available on Amazon) & you only need half the amount of sugar that the recipe states. For choc cake, use cocoa powder or melted 80% choc. I have this as an occasional treat - don't beat yourself up for your lapse!
