Here is my story...
I’ve had diabetes since I was 5 years old.
I’ve always been active and “healthy”. When I say healthy I mean healthy in accordance to the NHS diet guidelines for diabetes. (oops!)
I started pumping with the Omnipod in February 2016 and started the Libre in September 2017 .
I’ve always struggled with reducing my HbA1c and could never understand why... until now!
My latest results (December 2017) saw a dramatic improvement... from 76 to 52.
I have a long way to go but I really want to share my experiences in the hope I can help others but also learn from others too.
My posts will share the highs and the lows, the good days and the bad, the tools I use to manage my diabetes and the odd meal or two (I’m not at all creative in the kitchen!). Note - what works for me may not work for you, I’ve found it’s all about trying and testing because we are all so different!
