Diagnosed in 1974 with type 2. No medication till 2002, then gliclazide. 2010 Victoza. Reasonably well controlled. Like to keep on top of it. Some problems with left eye? diabetes in 2010 that is still being investigated in 2018. Otherwise at 68 no complications or problems. Watch my food intake, watch my activity. Keep my self socially busy and love to have friends round or go out for a meal. Life is for living is my motto. Recently advised type 1.5 due to my weight which is normal for height, bmi normal for height, low blood pressure, good cholesterol levels. High sugar levels. Stopped Victoza due to risk of cancer as family history of thyroid cancer. Now on 2 - 3 gliclazide per day.
