Many thanks to all . Yes my blood sugars were creeping up so doctor gave me this extra tablet, with a warning that if they kept rising I would be on insulin. No side effects as yet but worried about the weight gain plus the tablet info not very reassuring.thanks again.

I am type 2 and have been on three metformin tablets 750mg. For some time. Now my doctor wants me to take Pioglitazone. Has any one got any advice about these tablets please.
