    Tslim control IQ data

Hi everyone, Had the tslim x2 a couple of months now and it’s great. I’d really like to be able to see what basal rates control IQ is using so I can see how/if it’s different to the programmed basal rates. I’m expecting it will be. The reason for this is that I need to create a second...

Ypsomed loop / Medtronic 780g/ Tslim

That’s my understanding, it might not be right. From what another tslim user has told me, the tslim is reactive. So it will increase basal if you start going high or decrease if you start going low, but it always defaults back to your original basal program and doesn’t ‘remember’ if it happens...

Ypsomed loop / Medtronic 780g/ Tslim

Hi all, My insight pump is getting chopped in due to the recall. The clinic have given me the options of the Medtronic 780g + guardian 4, tandem tslim + dex or possibly the ypsomed looping + dex. I like the sound of the algorithm on the Medtronic as it learns the patterns, but I heard such...

    Type 1 Intermediate acting insulin

Hi all, I’ve seen a couple of people mention that in addition to long and short acting insulin pens they use intermediate acting insulin to help manage things like dawn phenomenon. Would anyone be able to give me anymore information about this? What insulin do you use? Did the DN recommend...

Thanks. I tried calling the DN but it’s an answer machine service and will be a few days before they call back :/

    Type 1 Help. Nothing works!

I thought that but I don’t know what dose to use? Last time I tried using the same amount as what is on my pump basal but obviously it’s two different types of insulin and it just didn’t work. Is there a way to work out an approximate dose between novorapid in the pump and levemir for mdi?

    Type 1 Help. Nothing works!

Hi all, Can anyone help? My pump canulas keep failing and I’ve been running high numbers for the last four days now. The canulas either cause bleeding and just block up or the insulin just sits and pools and doesn’t have any effect, unless I walk, at which point my bg plummets. But as soon as...

    Do you use steel canulas?

Thanks for the quick response! I have the angled ones at the minute and find them quite difficult to insert (my skin seems to bend rather than let the needle through) so I found these much better. I didn’t notice any issues (other than stubborn bg) until I removed the one from my arm to reveal...

    Do you use steel canulas?

Hi all, just after a bit of advice :) i have the insight pump and have been offered the steel canulas. I was given two to trial and I quite liked them, they’re easy to insert, I don’t feel them and they’re quite discreet too. but, I noticed that my levels where running a little high towards...

    Type 1 Open APS

Hi all, I’m curious about setting my pump up with a looping system but I have a question before I go out n get all the kit. I have the dexcom g6 and the insight pump. I tend to find that I sometimes end up with high bg because the insulin has pooled and only starts properly working when I...

    Dawn Phenomenon-Seasonal?

Hi all, I’m just wondering if anyone else experienced dawn phenomenon as almost a seasonal thing? I don’t seem to get it that much during the summer, but now the sunrises are getting later it seems to be kicking back in. Is this a thing? Is it just me? Thanks, Nomi

    Type 1 Cannula adhesion issues

Hi, I have different canulas (insight pump) but find that hot weather and/or sticking it in an area that moves or bends a lot (like the side/top of the spare tyre when you sit down) makes them come un-stuck faster. I use kinesiology tape, and cut it into the right shape. You can get it online...
