With plenty of time on my hands this week I tried something I read about - getting tiny quantities of gold from old mobile phones. A few attempts ( more error than trial), I ended up with a tiny dot of possibly good quality gold. Enough for a stud or a small tooth cap?

On a related note, I topped a cottage pie with leftover cauli cheese last week. Better than a swede topping!
My current favourite is Greek yoghurt with extra cream, vanilla extract and sweetener.

There, I've said it.
I had a Christmas Panetone and turned it into a really nice bread-and-butter pudding. To make the custard, I used a sweetener (Stevia). This didn't offend the tastebuds of my family and I was able to indulge in a sliver without any BS dramas.
