Was diagnosed in April 2004. Started on Metformin but could not tolerate. Got changed to Metformin SR, which I'm still on. I have been on Insulin through my Diabetes. At present I'm on Victoza, been on for 5 years. Then this year starting taking Gliclaride. But its controlling my bloods too good by giving me hypos at lunchtimes.
Exercise is moderate. This is the first time in 10 years of having low hypos.
My Hbc1a is 73 at present but is coming down, it was 108, because I was stopped medication for 6 months. I moved from old hospital to new. Had to wait to see new consultant, before I was allowed any more medication.
So I'm back in control.
