I wish I had happier news..

My reading was 78 at one point so I have brought it down before and 54 is not as terrible as it sounds except it alarms my doctor who then sends me letters saying I should buck my ideas up. I will try.

I wish I had happier news..

Accessing any support is very difficult. I’ve had four changes of doctor in a year and haven’t met any. Things have changed so much due to Covid. No, my diet is dreadful and although I do try I find the smallest thing sets me back. But thank you for your advice, it is appreciated.

Yes we tried that. My better half got taken sick about 200 yards into our walk and so we had to come home again. Luck is not on our side these days

Not coping, feel like I'm sinking...

Just saying hi and to offer support. I empathise with you but, if there is some brightness, its that your blood sugars appear stable. It might not seem much but its a small victory with all thats going on. I do hope your GP is helpful. Stay safe.

    Changing to slow release?!

That was my experience as well. I no longer sounded like I had nipped into the work toilet to practice the trombone! The side effects of regular were just horrible.

    Changing to slow release?!

Oh I am so glad I am on slow release metformin. Regular was terrible for me, hideous bouts of violent flatulence and almost constant toilet visits. Switched to slow release and all my symptoms vanished. Much happier on those although I appreciate not everyone gets side effects to the same extent...

To anyone struggling at the moment

First off I am glad that your GP has been brilliant, they do make a big difference when they are. A pity that some people are not so fortunate. I had a breakdown myself so can empathize to an extent, I just hope 2021 brings some much needed cheer for so many of us and an opportunity to live...

To anyone struggling at the moment

Hi. Its okay to struggle. Its okay not to be full of the joys of spring. 2020 has been a terrible year and its affected all of us to one extent or another. Being diabetic and having other illnesses and problems have only made things seem worse and that's perfectly understandable. If you...
