Thank you. Although I have been on insulin for 37 years my diabetic nurse has never mentioned low carb diet so I will try her for help as I already have a lot of hypos.

How do you know how much insulin to take if on low carb as I take mix 50 insulin twice a day

I have been an insulin dependant diabetic for 33 years and it has been suggested as my control has slipped they I try the basal/bogus regimen. at 61 years old am I too old for this ? I have recently been on a humulin m3 quick pen. any help appreciated. Pat
