What does your Freestyle Libre graph look like?

There are a few "inaccurate" sensors that get out of the factory. I have had plenty of them over the last 5 years. Normally reading 2mmol lower than actual BG when level trend. After 3 tests like this I swap to new sensor and then phone Freestyle Abbot who will send a free replacement.

    Over 40 statins as standard?

Firstly I think any advice or consideration to this issue will be completely different based on whether you are Type 1 or Type 2. Two different conditions, two different body systems and medications, two different durations when you reach age 40 / 50. As you are Type 1, as I have been for the...

    Freestyle libre sensors falling off

Having used the Libre 1 whilst I self funded I remember it took the force of a collision with an airplane door frame as I exited the loo to take off those sensors, it was hard work to remove them, even in the hot shower with soap or shampoo to work loose. Since getting NHS support and then...

    Blister care on long runs

When I read the title I thought I could offer useful advice as a veteran of 19 road and off-road marathons, but completely overwhelmed by the advice from Copepod which all looks good. Another trick I have used in the past before they invented twin skin socks was to use a very thin liner sock...

    Exercise troubles

In my case being Type 1 insulin dependent and spontaneous exercise is just an impossibility. There has to be some preparation. As my chosen exercise is longer distance off road running and Triathlon and Marathon (I have run 15), I'm used to getting prepared. A blood test first is preferable...

    Distance running

Hi - I was diagnosed type 1 in 1982 and ran the London Marathon for the first time in 1983. Since then I have run numerous 10km and half marathons, 5 more Londons, 6 Beachy Head Marathons and even tried some triathlon including sprint and Olympic open water. In 2010 I completed the London...
